Annual Events at Quarryhill
![]() ![]() | Annual Events at Quarryhill Every year Quarryhill hosts various fundraisers, community events, lectures, workshops, special garden walks, an annual plant sale and each spring a special free Earth Day celebration. See the Upcoming Events section for what's ahead this year. The HortiCulture series, as the name implies, combines elements of horticulture and culture. Examples of past lectures include the construction of the Chinese Garden at the Huntington Botanical Garden; Chinese history in rose cultivation; Zen influence in Asian architecture; botanical meanings in Chinese art. Sonoma County Master Gardeners give workshops in the spring and summer at Quarryhill which focus on more local gardening topics such as Drip Irrigation Basics, Gardening for Year-round Color, and Container Gardening. ![]() To hold a private event at Quarryhill, call 707 996 3166 2012 Events The Quarryhill Florilegium - Botanical Art Opening - January 14 Chip your Christmas Tree - January 14 HortiCulture - Zsolt Debreczy, Conifers Around the World - February 12 New Docent Open House - February 17 Magnolia Society International, 2012 Annual Meeting, Northern California - March 2 - 5 HortiCulture - Peg Schafer, Cultivate to Conserve - March 15 HortiCulture - Peter Fritsch, The California Academy of Sciences in China - April 19 Earth Day - April 21 Spring Celebration - June 2 Master Gardener Workshop Series - Linda King, Designing the Garden for Year-round Color - June 23 Rose Garden Dedication - July 21 Master Gardener Workshop Series - Sara Malone, Form & Foliage - July 28 Flower Essence Walk - August 11 Master Gardener Workshop Series - Rosemary McCreary, Designing with Ornamental Grasses - August 25 Cocktails in the Garden - September 14 Master Gardener Workshop Series - Gaius Robinson, Long-lasting Floral Arrangements - September 22 American Conifer Society, Western Regional Meeting Tour - October 20 |
